Prince Harry in ‘government-level talks’ to bring Meghan Markle, kids to UK

Prince Harry is reportedly making significant efforts to visit his native UK with his family, despite the strained ties with the royal household. As the Invictus Games, a charity founded by Harry, approaches its 10th anniversary, rumors are swirling about a special celebration in London that might include Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Sources close to the situation, as mentioned by OK! Magazine, suggests that Harry is engaged in high-level discussions to ensure his family’s return for the event isn’t just a solo trip. The aim is to attend a commemorative service at St Paul’s Cathedral that marks the decade milestone of the Invictus Games.

“Harry is very keen for his entire family to join him,” a source told the outlet. “It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the royal family.”

Harry’s interaction with the royal family has been minimal, but a notable exception occurred recently when he met with his father, King Charles, who is battling cancer. The meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, was initiated by a personal invitation from Charles himself. Following this rare encounter, Harry hinted at future commitments that would bring him to or through the UK, fueling speculation about a potential thaw in the frosty relations with the royal family.

“The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it,” the source claimed. “He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”

The possibility of Meghan Markle joining her husband with their children for the trip remains uncertain. The family’s participation in the Invictus Games anniversary in London could mark a significant moment, potentially paving the way for a reconciliation with the royal family or, at the very least, offering a chance for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to engage with Harry’s homeland on a grand stage.
