Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Set for New Year Reunion with King Charles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are anticipated to reunite with the Royal Family in 2024, as per recent reports. Royal expert Ingrid Stewart, speaking to GB News, has indicated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are likely to seek an audience with King Charles, as The Mirror reports, emphasizing the couple’s need for the King’s support.

Stewart remarked that while King Charles is keen to see his son and grandchildren, a previous invitation to Balmoral last summer was declined by Harry and Meghan. The couple, currently residing in Montecito, California, celebrated a quiet Christmas with their children, away from the royal festivities.

In his memoir “Spare,” Prince Harry reminisced about celebrating Christmas in the U.S., highlighting the family’s effort to maintain ties with the UK through special holiday decorations. The Sussexes’ last Christmas with the Royal Family was in 2018, before their children were born. They attended Queen Elizabeth II’s traditional Buckingham Palace lunch on December 19 that year, following their royal wedding.

Paul Burrell, a close confidant of Princess Diana, has commented on the situation, stating to The Mirror that Prince Harry is well aware of the protocols and would not visit his family without a formal invitation. Burrell emphasized Harry’s understanding of royal etiquette, suggesting that despite his status, Harry respects the formalities of royal engagements and visits.
