Meghan Markle’s ‘New Tension With Royal Family’ Raises Sympathy for Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to step back from their royal duties in 2020 has been a subject of much conversation, and according to new claims, Meghan allegedly did not fully embrace her royal role.

The couple, who married in 2017, moved to a $15 million mansion in Los Angeles, marking the start of what many observe to be a tense relationship with the British royal family. High-profile projects like their Netflix documentary and Prince Harry’s book “Spare” have contributed to this tension, with allegations surfacing of a ‘new war’ brewing, royal author Tom Bower claimed to the Express.

Lady Glenconner, a close confidant of Queen Elizabeth II, recently shared her perspective on the Sussexes’ union on the Rosebud podcast with Gyles Brandreth. The 91-year-old reportedly feels sympathy for Prince Harry and suggests Meghan had unrealistic expectations of royal life, imagining it to be like “riding around in a golden coach.”

A source cited by InTouch Weekly accused Meghan of treating her royal duties casually and aspiring to use her position to gain greater celebrity status. This critique by Lady Glenconner, a respected figure within royal circles, is said to have ignited fresh conflict.

The couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 revealed their reasons for leaving the royal fold, highlighting a lack of support from the institution, particularly regarding Meghan’s mental health.

With the backdrop of Prince Harry’s memoir stirring controversy, there’s talk that Meghan might also be preparing to publish a memoir, potentially laden with more insights into their royal life. This possibility has royal commentators like Phil Dampie suggesting that the royal family is bracing for further disclosures, despite their public silence on these matters.

Additionally, the Duchess of Cambridge’s uncle is reportedly working on a memoir that could provide his perspective on the alleged feud between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
