These unofficial visits have reportedly angered the royal family, especially as rumors circulate that the couple is planning to embark on more of these independent tours. “They aren’t the type to let negativity win. If anything, it’s only made them more determined to take on more tours. They want to get out there and make their mark. It’s great for them, and plenty of people have said there are benefits for the countries they visit,” an insider told In Touch Weekly.
The source added, “It’s the palace that has the problem — and they’ve frozen them both out, so why should they even care at this point?” Harry and Meghan’s recent activities have reignited discussions within the palace about the possibility of stripping them of their royal titles. However, the insider noted that King Charles and Prince William are cautious about taking action that might be seen as “futile.”
“The entitlement is so blatant, it’s hard to stomach,” the insider explained. “It’s no wonder Charles and William are furious and trying to find a way to put a stop to it.” The source further suggested that the royal family had initially hoped to ignore Harry and Meghan’s activities, but their continued use of royal titles in conjunction with their public endeavors may force the monarchy to take a firmer stance.
