Ex-Girlfriend Drops Bombshell in JonBenét Ramsey Case—Calls for Police to Reopen Investigation

A shocking new claim has emerged in the decades-old JonBenét Ramsey case, as the former girlfriend of a main suspect speaks out. Jacqueline Dilson says she has long believed her ex-boyfriend, Robert “Chris” Wolf, was involved in the murder of the six-year-old beauty queen.

Dilson remembers how Wolf mysteriously disappeared for several hours on Christmas Day in 1996, only to return with a vague excuse about attending a work party. But it was his behaviour when he got home—and in the weeks that followed—that set off alarm bells, reported the Mirror.

Her suspicions were strong enough to alert investigators at the time, and Wolf became one of only two people ever detained in connection with the case. However, police cleared him of involvement in 2011. Now, Dilson is urging them to take another look, according to the Daily Mail.

She recalls waking up on Boxing Day to find Wolf already in the shower, with a pile of mud-stained clothes on the floor. When she questioned where he had gone the previous day, she says he became aggressive. His anger only grew when JonBenét’s murder hit the news, making dark comments about her father and even saying he wanted him dead.

Dilson took her concerns to the police, handing over Wolf’s clothes for DNA testing, as well as handwriting samples to compare with the ransom note found near JonBenét’s body. But when police brought him in for questioning, she says he initially refused to provide a sample and denied any involvement.

There was another chilling detail—Dilson had recently bought a length of rope from Home Depot, only to later find that several feet were missing. Wolf also started borrowing her truck frequently, disappearing for long stretches without explanation. Their already strained relationship, marked by violent mood swings, became increasingly volatile.

She was preparing to kick him out when Christmas came, and a seemingly innocent gift from her son—a t-shirt reading “Santa Barbara”—triggered an outburst. Wolf ranted about it being a symbol of capitalist greed. The eerie part? The ransom note found near JonBenét’s body was signed “S.B.T.C.”

Dilson has written a book, The Unheard Call, detailing her experience and why she believes Wolf held a grudge against JonBenét’s father, John Ramsey, due to his ties to arms manufacturer Lockheed Martin. She claims Wolf saw him as complicit in the deaths of innocent women and children in war zones.

One statement still haunts her. Shortly after Christmas, Wolf reportedly told her, “You know, me and O.J. [Simpson] have a lot in common. We get away with everything.” Another time, she says he casually remarked, “If I was going to strangle someone, I wouldn’t use my hands. I’d use a rope. Wouldn’t you?” At that point, the public didn’t yet know JonBenét had been strangled with a rope.

Despite Wolf insisting the accusations are “completely absurd”, Dilson remains determined. “I’ve felt this burden of responsibility that I was one of the only people who could help finally solve this case,” she says. “There’s no way I can stop pushing until I get answers.”

Wolf was one of only two people ever detained in connection with the case—the other being John Mark Karr, who falsely confessed in 2006 but was later ruled out due to DNA evidence. While police say they have already investigated Wolf, Dilson believes they overlooked key evidence and is calling for them to take another look at one of America’s most infamous cold cases.
