Rebecca Loos Breaks Silence on David Beckham Affair Claims After 20 Years

Two decades after explosive headlines rocked the Beckham household, Rebecca Loos, former assistant to soccer icon David Beckham, is speaking out once again—this time with no filters, no regrets, and one clear message: “I was massively played.”
In a compelling new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Loos, now 47, is standing firm on her original claims that she and Beckham had a four-month affair while he was married to Victoria Beckham, calling the experience both emotionally draining and deeply revealing.
“I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing,” Loos declared.
At the time of the alleged affair, Beckham had recently made a high-profile move to play for Real Madrid in Spain, and Loos was hired to assist him during the transition. What she says began as a professional relationship quickly spiraled into something much more personal—and controversial.
She alleged that Beckham invited her to a hotel room, where she “gave in.” But the reality of the situation hit her like a tidal wave when she later saw him with another woman at a party.
“That’s when I realized I was massively played,” she said.
While the media firestorm that followed cast Loos as the villain, she insists her decision to go public wasn’t about revenge—it was about reclaiming her voice in a narrative that was spiraling beyond her control.
“I always had the opinion [that] it’s better that it comes from me and I have some sort of control,” she explained.
But speaking out came with a price. Facing the wrath of fans, tabloids, and powerful PR machines, Loos says she felt completely alone in her truth.
“Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth.”
David Beckham has always denied the allegations. Back in 2004, he released a statement calling the claims “ludicrous.” The couple, who have since weathered years of speculation and scrutiny, addressed the impact of the controversy in their 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham. Victoria, known for keeping her composure, opened up for the first time about the strain it put on their marriage.
“It felt like the world was against us… And here’s the thing — we were against each other if I’m being completely honest,” Victoria admitted.
Though time has passed, the wounds and questions remain. For Loos, this latest interview is less about reopening old wounds and more about setting the record straight—on her own terms.
Love, loyalty, betrayal, and fame collided in one of pop culture’s most talked-about scandals. And now, with her voice unwavering, Rebecca Loos wants the world to know: the truth never changed.
