Loose Women Star Stuns Viewers with Exciting Baby News Revealed Live on Air

Loose Women brought joyful news on Thursday as panelist Coleen Nolan shared that her son, Jake Roche, has become a father. During the show, Coleen, 59, revealed her excitement at becoming a grandmother. “I’ve got some good news to announce,” she began. “My baby boy Jake and his gorgeous fiancée Georgia had a baby boy. So I’ve got a little grandson now. I’ve not even seen him yet, apart from pictures and videos.”

Her co-host Kaye Adams expressed surprise, asking, “You’ve not seen him?” Coleen responded, “Not yet, no! He was 5lbs7, he’s tiny! Nanny! It’s really surreal, so emotional… surreal as in when one of your kids has a baby. Jake to me is still my baby, and there he is now, a dad!”

Coleen shared Jake’s heartfelt reaction to fatherhood, adding, “The fact that he was so emotional, already he’s like: ‘Mum, I’m so obsessed with him and so in love with him.’ The two of them together. She’s only just got home with him, and they just want to have this week quiet getting to know him as a couple. Then they have no excuses—I’m going to hound them! They’re getting married next July, so he’ll be about seven months by then.”

Jake, 32, revealed earlier this month that he was about to become a father, announcing the baby’s imminent arrival. Jake, son of Loose Women star Coleen and EastEnders actor Shane Richie, 60, is the lead singer of the band Push Baby (formerly Rixton) and has also dabbled in acting, reports the Mirror.

His recent one-man stage show Neporrhoids, which explores his experiences in the music industry, earned critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show was set to transfer to London’s Pleasance Theatre later this month but was rescheduled to January due to the new arrival.

Announcing the change on Instagram, Jake wrote, “Due to an unexpected yet exciting family development, I’ve decided to reschedule my upcoming November shows… My partner and I are expecting the arrival of our little one around that time (sooner than we thought), and I want to be fully present to support her and our growing family.”

He added, “All tickets will be transferred over to the new date in January or refunded. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Here’s to the future of Nepo Babies!” Jake’s announcement and Coleen’s excitement mark a beautiful new chapter for their family.
