Laura Tobin Faces Backlash Over On-Location Weather Report Despite Viewers Praising Her Style

Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin found herself at the center of a social media backlash following her latest weather report on Friday, August 16. The meteorologist, known for her on-location segments, delivered the forecast from Cheltenham, where she joined BBC’s Countryfile presenter Adam Henson at his Cotswolds Farm.

Dressed in an off-the-shoulder yellow summer dress, the 42-year-old meteorologist captivated viewers as she reported from a picturesque field of daffodils. Wearing her brunette hair in loose waves cascading down her back, Laura began her segment by declaring herself the “bearer of good news,” announcing that the UK could expect warm weather in the coming days.

However, it wasn’t the positive forecast that stirred controversy. Social media users took issue with Laura’s frequent travels to different locations for her weather reports, which some viewed as contradictory to her advocacy for climate change, told Daily Express.

One user commented sarcastically, “Oh, there’s no surprise that Laura is out and about on her carbon-producing odyssey.” Another criticized, “Mrs. climate queen out and about again.” A third added, “Laura the climate change explorer. Doing more to lower emissions is not a thing when Greta Tobin is out and about on another attention-seeking jolly.”

Despite the criticism, Laura also received a wave of support from viewers who praised her appearance and the vibrant energy she brought to the show. “Good Morning Laura. You are a ray of sunshine. Today looking gorgeous,” one viewer tweeted. Another complimented, “Love the dress, Laura!”

Laura Tobin, who is a strong advocate for climate action, often delivers her weather reports from various locations across the country to engage viewers with the natural beauty of different regions. While her on-location reports aim to make weather updates more engaging, they have also sparked debate among viewers about the environmental impact of such segments.

Even as the criticism mounted, the praise for Laura’s style and positivity showed that she remains a beloved figure on Good Morning Britain, with her presence continuing to brighten the screens of many viewers.
