Kate Garraway has turned to her fans for help after she had a bit of a paint disaster in her car. The Good Morning Britain host shared the embarrassing mishap on her Instagram, posting a video where she explained that she’d spilled a huge amount of white paint in the boot of her car. She mentioned that she had also managed to get the paint on herself and had tried to scrub most of it off, but clearly needed some advice on how to deal with the mess.
Naturally, her followers rushed to offer suggestions and advice. Countryfile’s Matt Baker had a cheeky suggestion, joking, “Do you have any black paint??” Another follower asked, “Does your insurance policy cover Accidental damage on your car? X.”
Others were more practical, with one person recommending a professional, saying, “Tbh I would go to a valeter! If you are anything like me trying to clean it myself will only make it worse.” Another fan gave a solid tip: “White vinegar and water, my daughter did similar yesterday on her lounge carpet”, reported the Express.
Aside from the paint chaos, Kate has been busy with a new venture away from GMB. She’s taken on the role of host for a new podcast and YouTube series, where she’ll be sharing the fascinating stories of people who call Dubai home. The series, called DBX Unheard, promises to uncover some of the hidden gems, personal triumphs, and unique experiences that make Dubai such a cosmopolitan city. Each of the eight episodes features interviews with Emiratis and Dubai residents who have made a lasting impact on the city.
Kate spoke about her excitement for the series, saying, “In this series, I’m going to meet people who will open your eyes and your mind to another Dubai, the one that is unheard, to show you what this city and its residents are all about. It is a place where East meets West, where women can and do lead the way, science is saving resources and selflessness is saving lives.”
She also highlighted the city’s focus on fitness, noting how Dubai is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle with its miles of running and cycling tracks, beaches packed with activities, and the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge. “Fitness is at the heart of this city,” Kate added.
The podcast and YouTube series, DBX Unheard, will be available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and other major platforms.
