Prince Harry’s Transformation After Meeting Meghan Markle

Prince Harry’s transformation since falling in love with Meghan Markle has left one of his longtime friends reflecting on the vibrant personality he seemingly left behind. Arthur Edwards, a seasoned royal photographer for The Sun, recently opened up about how Harry’s demeanor changed drastically after meeting Meghan.

In an interview, Edwards, who has had many encounters with Prince Harry throughout his life, shared his surprise at the prince’s shift. “He used to say, ‘I’ll do everything I can to make it good for you,’” Edwards recalled, referring to Harry’s cooperative nature with the press. “That’s what shocked me when he just cut us all dead, that one time up in Manchester.”

The photographer went on to describe how things changed the moment Harry fell in love with Meghan Markle. “I’ll never forget it, and I was shocked. It was just the day he met Meghan or the day he fell in love with Meghan, and it’s all changed since then,” Edwards revealed.

The royal photographer expressed his sadness over the shift, describing how Harry used to be a joy to work with. “I feel sad about that because he was a fabulous person to work with,” Edwards said. Edwards reminisced about Harry’s fun-loving spirit in the past, sharing anecdotes that painted a picture of a prince who was always full of surprises.

“I remember when he met the Jamaican Prime Minister,” Edwards recounted. “Instead of saying ‘Hello ma’am, pleased to meet you,’ he just hugged her, saying, ‘Because my father said she likes a hug, so I thought I’d get in first.’ And that’s what he was like—it was so much fun.”

He also recalled a trip to Brazil, where Harry played football with local kids on the beach and participated in a road race. “As he finished the race, he had a picture of William on his face,” Edwards shared, emphasizing how spontaneous and playful Harry once was. “He was fun, and he was surprising.”

While Harry’s life has taken a different path since meeting Meghan and stepping back from royal duties, Edwards’ reflections offer a glimpse into the prince’s earlier years—a time when he was known for his infectious energy and love for life. The photographer’s stories are a reminder of the more carefree Harry that many came to admire before his life in the spotlight took a more serious turn.
