Prince Harry wants to buy a house in UK for his Children’s sake, but Meghan Markle is not keen

Reports suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering house hunting in the UK, potentially leading to more time spent with their royal relatives.

In 2020, the couple relocated to California after stepping down from their senior roles within the royal family. Prince Harry cited the move as essential for his mental well-being and his family’s security.

Now, there’s talk of them returning to the UK, at least part-time, as Harry explores the possibility of acquiring a second home for his family, with London being rumored as his preferred location.

If they do choose to establish a base near Buckingham Palace, it would facilitate more frequent interactions with the royal family. Although Prince William and Princess Kate recently moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor from Kensington Palace, the Sussexes’ decision on a UK location is yet to be finalized.

According to a source mentioned in OK! magazine, there may be differing opinions within the couple, but Harry is taking the lead in this endeavor. They won’t be seeking a property on the royal estate due to previous issues related to Frogmore Cottage. While using a small apartment in Kensington Palace occasionally remains an option, they plan to purchase their UK residence independently.

This decision might come as a surprise given the recent “royal rift” between Harry and William, including accusations made by Harry in his interview, where he alleged that William once physically confronted him regarding Meghan’s treatment.

However, some believe that this move could contribute to a potential reconciliation. Duncan Larcombe, a former Royal Editor and biographer of Prince Harry, suggests that proximity to his family could be a driving factor behind the decision. He emphasizes the importance of Harry’s children growing up with their cousins, uncles, aunts, and the rest of their family.

Regarding the schooling of Prince Archie (four years old) and Princess Lilibet (two years old), the source cited by OK! suggests that a decision has not been reached yet. Ultimately, Meghan and Harry will prioritize what is best for their children, but the possibility of them establishing a UK base is met with enthusiasm.
