Prince Harry ‘Loses Himself’ Around Meghan Markle, Claims Royal Expert Tina Brown

Prince Harry seems to diminish his sense of self when he is with Meghan Markle, according to royal expert and former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown. In a candid assessment, Brown suggests that the Duke of Sussex is so captivated by his wife that he follows her lead without hesitation.

“I think he’s pretty much in the thrall of Meghan,” Brown commented, mockingly adding that Harry is “the lamb to the slaughter in this situation.” She believes that Harry has been deeply impressed by Meghan since the start of their relationship, to the point where he trusts her entirely and follows her lead. “He thought that she knew it all,” Brown continued.

“She persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer, who would come in and make them stars and all the rest of it. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.” Despite her critique of Harry’s dynamic with Meghan, Brown acknowledged his strengths, especially when engaging with the public. “When he goes on these much-mocked foreign trips, he’s just really good at it. He’s charming, he’s funny, he’s sweet, he’s authentic again.

He has a real sense of being true and real, and he’s flawless at it,” she said, praising his natural ability to connect with people. Brown also expressed regret that Harry’s talents are no longer utilized within the royal family. “It’s actually very sad that he can’t go back to England and play that role, which is desperately needed,” she noted.

According to Brown, the monarchy is struggling without him, saying, “Now the monarchy is a skeleton of itself.” In her remarks, Brown highlights both Prince Harry’s genuine qualities and the loss the royal family faces without his presence, while also reflecting on the influence Meghan seems to have over him in their life together.
