Kelly Brook Embraces Child-Free Life After Past Miscarriages and Finds Joy in Simplicity
0TV star Kelly Brook, 45, has opened up about her decision to embrace a child-free life, revealing she feels content without the pressure of parenthood after experiencing the trauma of miscarriages in past relationships. Kelly, who married Jeremy Parisi in 2022, says their focus on enjoying life together has brought them happiness and clarity.
“We haven’t tried for children, we haven’t gone down the IVF route. We’ve not even looked into it and I think we are all the more happier for it, to be honest,” she told The Sun. “I am actually childless by choice at the moment, it’s not something that we have considered and I don’t think that should be a taboo.”
Kelly admitted her past experiences with pregnancy and loss influenced her current outlook. “I know how traumatic and devastating they are on you and on your relationship. I have been down that road with previous partners, and it is a lot,” she said. Reflecting on her life with Jeremy, she added, “I look at the beautiful life we have and how we don’t have the burden of that”, reported by OK! Magazine.
Kelly believes the decision not to have children right now is empowering. “It’s a brave thing to say as a woman,” she explained, adding that societal expectations often push people toward parenthood.
For now, the couple enjoys spending time with their dog, Teddy, traveling, and working on new projects. “Jeremy and I love to be around family, but we also love to travel and do our own thing. We love our dog. It’s not like we are completely selfish,” she said.
The couple recently appeared on the BBC series Celebrity Race Across The World and have been working on a reality show documenting their efforts to harvest olives at Jeremy’s family estate in Arpino, Italy. “Arpino is where we were married and is definitely a place we will be spending more time in the future,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.
Kelly’s mother, who had her at just 17, instilled in her a desire to take her time with major life decisions. “My mum taught me not to rush into having kids because she was 17 when she had me. She made me feel that life was there for the taking,” Kelly said.
Kelly and Jeremy tied the knot in July 2022 in a £500,000 Italian wedding. Despite a dramatic rainstorm, Kelly cherished the experience, saying, “You can’t have the rainbow without the rain.”
