Insider Reveals Lasting Rift Between Harry, Meghan, and Kate Over Bridesmaid Dress Controversy—’It’s Going to Take Years to Heal’

Insight into Kate Middleton’s true feelings towards her brother-in-law Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has raised doubts about whether reconciliation is even possible. Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing rift, shedding light on the situation.

According to a report by the Royal Observer, despite speculation that Kate played a role in Prince Harry’s 40th birthday messages, this couldn’t be further from the truth. The rift runs deep, with Larcombe stating, “Some of what Harry and Meghan have said, particularly about Kate, was so personal, and it’s going to take years to heal the hurt because of the damage that’s been done.”

Larcombe highlighted the extent of the divide between the Sussexes and the future Queen of England, adding, “It’s going to take more than an apology to fix the relationships.” His comments suggest that the tensions between the two sides are far from being resolved and that the wounds inflicted may take years to mend.

For those unfamiliar with the history of the rift, one of the first reported incidents occurred over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress at Harry and Meghan’s wedding. It was revealed that both Meghan and Kate ended up in tears over the matter. Prince Harry referenced the incident in his memoir Spare, writing, “There was a problem with the dresses for the bridesmaids, apparently. They needed altering. The dresses were French couture, hand-sewn from measurements only. So it wasn’t a big shock that they might need altering.”

Another reported source of tension has been the contrasting media coverage Meghan received compared to her sister-in-law, Kate. This perceived discrepancy in how the two women were treated by the press has only added to the strain between the couples.

The ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the royal family remains a sensitive issue, and it appears that mending the relationship will take more time and effort than a simple apology. The question of whether forgiveness is on the table for Kate Middleton continues to linger, as the impact of the past controversies still looms large.
