Chloe Madeley Opens Up About the Challenges of Co-Parenting with Ex-James Haskell

Chloe Madeley has candidly shared the ongoing challenges she faces co-parenting her two-year-old daughter, Bodhi, with her ex-husband, James Haskell. The couple, who announced their split last September after five years of marriage, have found co-parenting to be more difficult than anticipated.

The split occurred while their ITV reality series, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, was still airing, sparking widespread speculation about their relationship. The pair eventually confirmed their separation in a joint statement on Instagram, emphasizing that their “sole focus” was now on Bodhi and that they would “continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”

Nearly a year after their separation, Chloe, 37, has revealed that co-parenting has not always gone smoothly. “We have found a way to do it, but it’s not always great. We have really hard times with it sometimes,” she admitted in an interview with The Mirror. She also acknowledged that they still argue, saying, “We also still argue, there’s no denying that and it’ll probably be this way forever.”

Despite the difficulties, Chloe stressed that she and James are committed to not using Bodhi as a bargaining tool in their disagreements. “But James and I, whatever our disagreements, are adamant that we won’t weaponize Bodhi or use her as a bargaining tool,” she said.

When tensions do arise, Chloe explained that they try to move past them as quickly as possible, even if it requires some effort. “We maybe have a little blowout but always far away from Bodhi and then we crack on,” she added. “Because, ultimately, we come full circle back to co-parenting harmoniously.” Chloe also shared that, despite the “tricky episodes,” there are many days when she and James manage to be “very good friends.”

As for her personal life, Chloe, 39, isn’t ruling out the possibility of a new romance but admits that she isn’t actively seeking one. “I’m still really not interested in dating apps. So, I actually don’t know how realistic it is that I’ll meet someone,” she confessed. While she acknowledges there are moments when she’d love to have someone to share a bed with, Chloe remains focused on her daughter and her businesses.

“At the moment, I’m so busy with Bodhi and my businesses,” she concluded. Chloe’s honest reflections highlight the complexities of co-parenting and moving forward after a significant relationship ends, while also balancing the demands of parenthood and personal ambitions.
