Kerry Katona Criticizes Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward for Cutting Ties with Daughter Over OnlyFans

Kerry Katona has expressed her support for Mia Winward, the 19-year-old daughter of Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward, following reports that Sammy has cut ties with Mia due to her involvement with OnlyFans. Kerry, who is also an OnlyFans creator and has found financial success on the platform, insists there is “no shame” in using it.

However, she admits she would be “livid” if any of her own children joined OnlyFans, but emphasizes that she would never disown them over it. In her latest column for OK! magazine, Kerry discussed the importance of maintaining family bonds despite disagreements, especially in the entertainment industry. “I’ve been reading that Emmerdale star Sammy Winward is reported to have cut off her 19-year-old daughter Mia for doing OnlyFans, told The Mirror.

I think that’s so sad,” Kerry wrote. “Losing a relationship with your daughter isn’t worth it – and as an actress, you’d think she’d be more understanding of the industry.” Kerry, 43, acknowledges that she would struggle if her children decided to join the platform, stating, “I’d have a meltdown if any of my kids started doing it. I’d be livid – but at the end of the day, they’re my babies, and I could never stop contact. It’s not worth it.”

The controversy surrounding Mia and her mother arose after Mia, who is reportedly earning up to £30,000 a month on OnlyFans, claimed that her mother cut off contact following a heated argument over her decision to join the subscription site. Mia, who initially pursued a career as a makeup artist, has since found success on OnlyFans and feels empowered by her work. “I feel so empowered on OnlyFans. I am my own boss and I’m confident in myself and what I’m doing,” Mia shared in an interview.

Despite her financial success, Mia’s decision has strained her relationship with her family. She expressed hope that they can reconcile in the future, saying, “I will always love and appreciate them. I hope that one day we can rebuild our relationship and move on.”

Kerry’s remarks highlight the complex dynamics that can arise when personal and professional choices clash within families, particularly in the public eye. While she doesn’t fully agree with Mia’s decision, Kerry’s stance underscores the importance of unconditional love and support for one’s children, even when faced with difficult situations.
