Prince Louis’s Birthday Disappointment as Kensington Palace Breaks Royal Tradition Amid Controversy

As Prince Louis turns six today, Royal enthusiasts worldwide are left disappointed as Kensington Palace deviates from a cherished tradition of sharing a new photo of the young Royal to mark the occasion.

Since his birth in 2018, it has become customary for Kensington Palace to delight fans with an adorable snapshot of Prince Louis, captured by his doting mother, Kate Middleton, on each of his birthdays. However, this year, the Palace has chosen to break with tradition, leaving fans eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the birthday boy, via Express.

The decision to forego the release of a fresh photograph this year may be linked to the recent controversy surrounding the last family portrait shared by the Duchess of Cambridge. In March, a heartwarming photo of Kate with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Louis, was published in honor of Mother’s Day. However, concerns arose over the image’s editing, leading several global picture agencies to withdraw it due to irregularities noticed in the picture.

Kate later admitted to altering the photo and apologized for any confusion caused, citing her occasional experimentation with editing as an amateur photographer. Moreover, in a somber video message, she revealed her diagnosis of an unspecified type of cancer and her ongoing battle following post-operative tests after significant abdominal surgery in January.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams suggests that the absence of a birthday photo for Prince Louis might be attributed to the recent Mother’s Day photo incident and Kate’s need for “time, space, and privacy.”

As fans express disappointment over the lack of a birthday photograph for Prince Louis, it underscores Kate’s courageous battle and her expressed desire for privacy and understanding during this challenging time.
