Prince William’s 10-Word Caution to Harry on Meghan Markle Revealed in ‘Spare’

Prince Harry, in his explosive memoir ‘Spare,’ recounts a significant moment with his brother, Prince William, regarding his relationship with Meghan Markle. Before meeting Meghan, William reportedly cautioned Harry with a terse 10-word warning: “She’s an American actress, after all, Harold. Anything might happen.”

This exchange highlights the once-close relationship between the brothers, which has since deteriorated. Harry and William, who previously shared a strong bond and often spent time together along with Kate Middleton, have experienced a public fallout in recent years.

Harry’s memoir details his excitement in sharing the news of his budding relationship with Meghan, then starring in ‘Suits’ as Rachel Zane, with William and Kate. To his surprise, he discovered they were fans of the show. Eager to introduce Meghan to them, Harry recalls feeling a bit hurt by William’s cautionary response.

The memoir also delves into Meghan’s perspective, as shared in the couple’s Netflix docuseries. She speaks about the formality within the Royal Family, even in private settings, noting her surprise at the contrast between public and private personas within the family. This formality was evident during William and Kate’s first visit to Nottingham Cottage, Harry and Meghan’s former home, where Meghan, in casual attire and barefoot, cooked dinner for the ‘fab four.’
