Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Zara Tindall gives birth unexpectedly
0Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter and Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall welcomed her third child on Wednesday.
According to People magazine, the tenth great-grandchild of the monarch was welcomed by Zara and her husband Mike Tindall.
The report further states that the newest member of the royal family was born weighing eight pounds and four ounces.
The parents named their newest bundle of joy Lucas Philip Tindall, with his middle name paying tribute to Zara’s grandfather Prince Philip.
After the two welcomed their third child, Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying: “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news and look forward to meeting their 10th Great Grandchild when circumstances allow.”
Mike Tindall shared details of their home birth in an episode of his podcast, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby.
He said: “A little baby boy arrived at my house! So, it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get a mat on the floor, towels down, ‘brace-brace-brace.'”
“Fortunately, the midwife, who was going to meet us at the hospital wasn’t that far away, so she drove up, got there just as we’d assumed the pos-ish [position],” continued the father of three. “And then the second midwife arrived just after the head had arrived,” he continued.
Revealing how his wife was doing now, Mike said she was “a warrior as always. She was back up. We went for a walk [on Monday] morning with him. All good.”
