Zara McDermott Warns Tasha Ghouri About Strictly Come Dancing After Confirmed Appearance
0Zara McDermott took to social media to offer advice to Tasha Ghouri following her confirmation as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Both former Love Island stars, Zara and Tasha, are now set to compete for the coveted Glitterball Trophy. Reflecting on her own challenging experience on the show, Zara provided some heartfelt guidance to Tasha about the grueling rehearsals and the inevitable blisters that come with them, told Daily Express.
In the comments of Tasha’s Instagram post announcing her participation, Zara, 27, expressed her excitement by saying, “This is going to be epic.” Despite her own difficult time on Strictly, Zara wished Tasha “the most amazing journey” but added a crucial piece of advice: “Start stocking up on comped now.”
Tasha responded, “Thank you, beautiful girl,” humorously noting, “The way I had to search what comped was, noted.” Zara quickly corrected her typo with laughing emojis, “competed* soz auto-correct.” In her post, Tasha described her upcoming Strictly appearance as a “dream” and shared, “Every dance I do is for you all. I can’t wait to make you all proud on the ballroom floor.”
Although Zara shared her enthusiasm for Tasha, she also recently opened up about a negative experience on the show. Zara revealed she was kicked by her former dance partner Graziano Di Prima during her time on Strictly. Graziano admitted to the incident through a spokesperson who stated, “There is never a time when kicking, or any sense of that is right, and he knows that. He knows he’s made a mistake. He apologized at the time.”
As a result of this incident, Graziano was removed from the show. Giovanni Pernice also faced removal following allegations of misconduct from his 2023 celebrity partner Amanda Abbington. Zara’s advice serves as both a caution and encouragement for Tasha as she embarks on her Strictly journey, hoping to turn her own past difficulties into a positive learning experience for her fellow Love Island alum.
