Prince William and Princess Kate Anticipate Prince Harry’s Visit with Caution

Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly on edge about the upcoming visit of Prince Harry to the UK, with preparations underway to dodge any potential discomfort.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are apparently feeling apprehensive about the visit of Prince Harry. Efforts are being made to sidestep any unease, as voiced by a royal commentator familiar with the strains within the royal factions.

Prince Harry, known as the Duke of Sussex, plans to be back in the UK from California for the 10th Anniversary Service of the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.

Following Princess Kate’s announcement of her cancer diagnosis earlier in the month, speculation has arisen about Prince Harry possibly visiting his brother and sister-in-law during his stay in England.

This speculation was fueled by reports that the Sussexes had made a private overture to the Wales family after Princess Kate’s disclosure, according to the Mirror.

Royal commentator and writer Tom Quinn shared insights suggesting that William and Kate are notably apprehensive about Harry’s visit in May, especially about whether Meghan Markle will accompany him. Quinn highlighted the “unavoidable awkwardness” and the measures being considered to mitigate it.

Quinn conveyed to The Mirror, “William and Kate are quite anxious about the dynamics of Harry’s visit, whether he attends solo or with Meghan, anticipating challenges. There’s substantial planning underway to alleviate any potential awkwardness and discomfort, with one strategy being to arrange a brief public appearance between the brothers to demonstrate a basic level of cordiality.”

He further noted, “It’s a delicate balance. If Harry were to come to the UK in May and avoid any interaction with William and Kate, it might lead to more harmful speculation than if they manage a brief reconciliation to navigate through a short encounter.
