William ‘Blocking’ King Charles from Reconciliation with Harry, Claims Source

King Charles III’s relationship with his youngest son, Prince Harry, has been fraught with tension over the past few years. Now, a former royal staffer claims that it’s Harry’s older brother, Prince William, who is blocking their reconciliation.

In an editorial for the Daily Telegraph, journalist Petronella Wyatt shared insights from a “former palace official” who worked for both royal brothers “before the good times stopped rolling.” The source revealed, “There is a public misconception about William and Harry. It is William who is often the difficult one, and it is William who is preventing his father from having a proper reconciliation with Harry. This isn’t helpful at a point in time when the country would be buoyed up by seeing them together again, as would the King.”

Supporting Wyatt’s statement, a friend of Prince William and Kate Middleton told The Daily Beast, “There is a grain of truth in what she is saying, although William wouldn’t dream of telling his father what he can or can’t do in relation to his other son.” The friend added, “But what is true is that Charles’ absolute priority is the unity of the monarchy, and given the extent of William’s animosity to Harry, Charles can hardly roll out the red carpet and invite Harry and the kids to stay at Balmoral for the summer holidays—however much he would like to.”

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have had a strained relationship with the royal family since they resigned from their royal duties and gave a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the interview, they made shocking claims, including alleged comments about the color of their son Archie’s skin before his birth.

The last time Harry saw his father was in February when he visited the U.K. after it was revealed that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.

The source’s comments shed light on the complexities within the royal family and suggest that William’s stance is a significant barrier to reconciliation. This comes at a time when many believe that seeing the family united would be uplifting for the nation and beneficial for the King.

As the royal family navigates these challenges, the hope for reconciliation remains distant. However, the source’s revelation underscores the need for addressing internal conflicts to restore unity within the monarchy.
