Tributes Pour in for 13-Year-Old Harrison Reynolds After Fatal Car Crash

A schoolboy who tragically passed away following a horrific crash near a motorway has been named Harrison Reynolds. The 13-year-old died on February 17, days after the collision, which occurred on Oldham Road between Saddleworth and Rishworth on February 4, according to the Sun.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 1 am after a black Vauxhall Corsa carrying six teenagers left the road. The area near junction 22 of the M62 was closed off while officers responded to the incident. Harrison, believed to be from the Yorkshire area, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, Harrison’s life support was switched off on February 16, and he passed away early the next morning. A statement issued on a GoFundMe page confirmed his death, describing the struggle he endured before ultimately succumbing to his injuries.

Tributes to Harrison have poured in on social media following the news of his death. One person wrote, “R.I.P beautiful boy,” while another commented, “Fly high H forever 13 lad, we’re all gonna miss you.” A third shared, “We all are going to miss you H. Fly high, buddy.”

The GoFundMe page, which has raised over £2,500 for Harrison’s funeral, provided further details of the tragic accident. The post read: “As many of you are probably aware, 13-year-old Harrison was in a serious car accident, causing life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, after a real fight, his little body could fight no more, and his machines were turned off on Sunday 16th February. So sadly, Harrison passed away at 3.45 am on the 17thof February. We would love to raise some funds to give H the send-off he so deserves. Harrison – 13 Forever xxxx. R.I.P. beautiful boy xx.”

Five other teenagers who were in the car at the time of the crash have been arrested and released on bail, according to West Yorkshire Police. Investigations into the fatal collision are ongoing, with police urging any witnesses to come forward. Detective Inspector Paul Conroy from the West Yorkshire Police Major Collision Enquiry Team said: “This is a tragic incident which has resulted in a 13-year-old boy losing his life. Our thoughts go out to his family, and specialist officers are working to support them at this time. We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and would ask anyone with any information who hasn’t already been in contact with us to please get in touch.”

Authorities are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen the car involved before the collision or has dashcam footage.
