Tina Malone Shares Heartbreaking Struggle as Daughter, 10, Cries Herself to Sleep After Tragic Loss of Her Father
0Tina Malone, former Shameless star, has taken to social media to express her profound grief, six months after the death of her husband, Paul Chase. In an emotional post on Twitter/X, the 61-year-old actress shared the pain she continues to endure following Paul’s suicide, which came after his battle with PTSD.
On Tuesday, Tina posted: “Six months ago at 4:30 pm today my husband left our house, and ten hours later took his own life opposite our home… I miss him so badly. This pain won’t go away… it gets worse every day. Forever yours, Paul xxx.”
Tina also opened up about the impact her husband’s death has had on their 10-year-old daughter, Flame. In a follow-up post, she wrote, “Nothing worse than Flame, 10, sobbing on my knee till she fell asleep crying for her daddy. A very difficult evening, just no words to describe our pain x.”
The heartbreaking updates from Tina were met with an outpouring of support from her followers. One user wrote, “My heart breaks for you and your lovely family. Thinking of you all,” while another shared information about a support group for children dealing with the loss of a loved one to suicide, offering help for Flame, reported the Mirror.
Since Paul’s passing, Tina has been open about her struggles with grief. In May, on what would have been Paul’s 42nd birthday, she paid tribute to him on X, writing, “Today my husband Paul is 42. He left our home eleven weeks ago today and never came back. The pain and sorrow we feel is overwhelming. Flame is bringing you a ribeye, olives, and a Peroni today, now at peace, my hero, my world x.”
Tina has also spoken about Paul’s battle with PTSD, which contributed to his tragic death. She has expressed her desire to start a charity in his name to raise awareness of mental health issues. Before his death, Paul’s mental health had deteriorated significantly. Tina previously shared the heartbreaking detail that she read Paul’s final text to her just moments before police arrived to inform her of his passing.
In his last message, Paul wrote, “Tina, please forgive me and one day when you are up here with me, we will meet again. I love you, Tina. I will visit you when I find a way. I’m sorry, my love, you made my life perfect throughout the chaos. I will come and visit you and Flame in spirit. Please forgive me xxx.”
