Migrants Flood into the UK for Free Perks—Taxpayers Foot the Bill for Hotels and Food!

Migrants escorted across the Channel by French patrol boats were seen arriving in Dover, stepping off Border Force vessels in life jackets as the number of crossings continues to soar.

Home Office figures reveal that a staggering 2,210 people made the journey on Wednesday alone, using just three boats. This brings the total number of arrivals in the UK so far this year to 3,434, as reported by London Business News.

And the trend isn’t slowing down. Data from the past five days shows that 1,378 migrants have reached British shores, fuelling fresh debate over border security and government action.

A Home Office spokesperson acknowledged the growing concerns, stating: “We all want to end dangerous small boat crossings, which threaten lives and undermine our border security.”

They insisted that the government is stepping up its approach, saying: “We are delivering real change in our approach through legislation to create new tools, powers, offences and enforcement action which will keep us one step ahead of the people-smuggling gangs.”

Despite these assurances, the sheer number of crossings in such a short space of time has reignited frustrations, with critics questioning whether existing measures are doing enough to deter people from making the dangerous journey.

With spring and summer approaching—seasons that typically see a surge in crossings—many are watching closely to see whether the government’s tougher stance will actually make a difference, or if the numbers will continue to climb.
