This Morning Star Reveals Exciting New Job and Shares Update on ITV Hosting Plans
0This Morning host Josie Gibson has announced she may temporarily step back from the popular daytime show as she embarks on an exciting new adventure. The beloved presenter has landed a new role showcasing opulent travel destinations in a series produced by Honey Bee and Group M Motion Entertainment.
The upcoming show will feature Gibson touring some of the world’s most luxurious locations, including first-class airlines, seven-star hotels, and extravagant airline lounges. The series promises to give viewers a glimpse into how the other half lives, offering an inside look at lavish experiences many only dream of.
Speaking to the Mirror., Josie shared her excitement about the project, saying, “I’ve got loads of things in the pipeline, but I’m still very involved with This Morning. I’m very grateful for everything they’ve helped me with because they grew me as a presenter.”
She reassured fans she would still be around during the festive season, saying, “I should be around at Christmas on the [This Morning] sofa, and then I will get back on the road to make it all work.” Josie is particularly thrilled to explore the world of luxury travel, adding, “It’s going to be amazing because I’m going to be exploring how the other half live, like the first-class travel.”
Eager to begin, she humorously remarked, “You know when you walk through the airplane and wonder what’s that way? I’m going to be seeing all the stuff that is the other way.” She joyfully added, “It’s a tough gig, but someone’s gotta do it!”
Filming is set to start this week, with Josie confirming, “We’ve got quite a few destinations to go to.” While she’s excited about her new venture, Josie also opened up about the challenges of balancing work and motherhood. She described raising her five-year-old son Reggie as the “hardest job she’s ever done,” highlighting the difficulty of juggling career opportunities and family responsibilities.
Reflecting on her time in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Last year, Josie revealed the emotional toll of being separated from her son, admitting, “I missed him so much. I don’t actually feel like I gave the best of myself because I was so heartbroken.” Despite the challenges, Josie remains enthusiastic about her new travel gig, while still staying connected to her role at This Morning.
