Susanna Reid, star of Good Morning Britain, has broken her silence after the festive break with a post revealing her dramatic transformation. Taking to social media for the first time in nearly two weeks, Susanna shared her new look, which was inspired by an on-screen interview with legendary pop star Cher.
During a GMB interview last year, Cher, known for her age-defying appearance at 77, gave Susanna a piece of advice that stuck: “Women should keep their long hair.” Taking Cher’s suggestion to heart, Susanna decided to embrace long locks for 2025. “NEW YEAR NEW HAIR!” she wrote. “After hearing THE CHOP is cool, pop idol Cher told me women should keep their long hair and so I am turning back time and going LONG for 2025 with extensions put in by @christinabhair.”
Cher’s long, glossy black hair, which reached almost to her waist, made a powerful impression during their interview. The pop icon, known for her hit song Turn Back Time, explained that she plans to continue wearing long hair for as long as possible, defying the aging process with her signature look, told Daily Express.
Susanna, inspired by Cher’s confidence and youthful energy, decided to add some length and volume to her own hair with extensions. However, the makeover sparked a mixed response from her followers. While some applauded her decision, others weren’t as enthusiastic about the change.
One fan, reminiscing about Susanna’s former bob, commented, “No, you looked great with the bob. Bring it back- ignore Cher!” Another Instagram user, who described themselves as a stylist, echoed similar sentiments, saying, “It’s nice, but as a stylist myself, I feel the chop suited you better.”
