England Rugby Star Billy Vunipola ‘Tasered Twice’ During Arrest in Majorca

England rugby star Billy Vunipola found himself in a troubling situation following his arrest after a violent incident at a bar named Epic in Palma, Majorca.

Reports indicate that the 31-year-old athlete was confronted by police around 4:30 am on Sunday after security personnel alerted authorities. Despite being tasered twice by the police, Vunipola, standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing nearly 20 stone, reportedly remained unaffected by the initial shock. It took a second deployment of the taser before he could be restrained and handcuffed.

Eyewitnesses claim that Vunipola, who plays as a No.8 for Saracens, had removed his shirt during the altercation and was allegedly threatening both customers and employees with bottles and chairs before law enforcement intervened.

Following the incident, Vunipola was transported to the nearby Son Espases Hospital, where he required sedation and was secured to his bed until the effects of the medication took hold. Throughout this period, several security guards and police officers were tasked with monitoring him closely.

The rugby star appeared in court on Sunday, dressed in the same blue T-shirt and beige shorts he wore during his arrest.

Vunipola’s upbringing spans across Australia, Wales, and the southwest of England after his family relocated to the UK during his childhood. He earned a scholarship to attend the esteemed Harrow School, during which time he caught the attention of Wasps Academy and made his senior debut at the age of 18.

His professional career flourished when he joined Saracens, where he has played a significant role. Vunipola’s international debut for England occurred during the 2013 Summer Tour of Argentina, and he has since accumulated 75 caps.

His family boasts a rich rugby heritage, with his father and uncle representing Tonga, and his cousin, Taupe Faletau, earning caps for Wales and the British and Irish Lions.

The incident in Majorca marks a significant departure from Vunipola’s professional and personal narrative, raising concerns about his behavior and its potential consequences for his career and public image.
