David Beckham Playfully Calls Out Victoria’s Strict Diet as She Reveals the Real Reason Behind It

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham, icons in their own right, have captivated public attention for decades. Married since 1999, the former Spice Girl and renowned footballer share four children—Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and daughter Harper Seven—forming one of Britain’s most glamorous families. Their love story began in 1997 when Victoria watched a Manchester United match, where Beckham, a product of the famous Class of 92, dazzled on the field.

David Beckham’s illustrious football career saw him win six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups, and the Intercontinental Cup during his tenure at Old Trafford. In 2003, he made a high-profile move to Real Madrid for a £25m transfer fee, where he claimed the La Liga title and the Supercopa de Espana. His journey continued with a switch to LA Galaxy in 2007, along with two loan spells at AC Milan, before he finally retired after a stint at Paris Saint-Germain. Additionally, Beckham earned 115 caps for England, ranking him third on the Three Lions’ all-time appearances list.

Beyond the pitch, Beckham’s off-field interests have also made headlines. In a candid discussion on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, the Inter Miami co-founder revealed his passion for food and wine. However, he shared an amusing insight into his wife’s steadfast dietary habits:

“I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it. Unfortunately, I’m married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met her she only eats grilled fish and steamed vegetables, and she will very rarely deviate from that. The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favorite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.”

Victoria, known for her impeccable style and ever-youthful appearance, has now responded to her husband’s playful observations. Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, she explained her consistent eating habits, linking them to her desire to maintain clear skin—an issue that troubled her in her 20s. Victoria added that she avoids certain wheat and flours, sometimes opting for wheat flour instead of cassava flour. Reflecting on her past, she remarked:

“It was because of my skin that I became very careful about what I ate. And yeah, probably I did look stern in a lot of pictures, but I was so uncomfortable. Was there a time when I used to scroll through all the comments about me? Probably. But now I just don’t have the time.”

This glimpse into the Beckham household not only highlights David’s legendary career and love for food but also offers insight into Victoria’s disciplined approach to health and beauty—a secret that has helped her remain in the public eye, radiant even at the age of 50.
