Meghan Markle Drops Rare Video of Princess Lilibet Playing with ‘Auntie’ Serena Williams

In a delightful display of camaraderie and support, former global tennis star Serena Williams recently showcased her strong friendship with Meghan Markle. The heartwarming moment was captured ahead of the Duchess of Sussex’s highly anticipated Netflix show release as the two were pictured in a warm embrace that underscored the depth of their bond.

The snapshot, shared on social media, reveals the pair in a tender moment of reunion. Serena, known for her illustrious sports career, documented her time with Meghan by posting a striking black-and-white image of the duo sharing a tight hug. The post quickly resonated with fans and followers, highlighting not only their friendship but also the excitement surrounding Meghan’s upcoming project, according to PEOPLE.

Adding to the celebration, Serena re-shared a video originally posted on Meghan’s Instagram stories. In the video, a playful board game session unfolds as Meghan’s daughter, Princess Lilibet, and Serena engage in a fun-filled game of Candy Land.

In the clip, Lilibet, dressed in a pink shirt and pink and white floral leggings, is seen standing next to Serena. The video was captioned by Meghan: “When the aunties comes to celebrate … and to play! Love you @serenawilliams.” This candid moment captured the essence of their warm relationship and the supportive atmosphere that surrounds Meghan’s new venture.

Meghan further amplified the festive mood on her Instagram story with another post featuring herself and Lilibet. In the photo, Meghan is seen looking on lovingly as her daughter and Serena enjoy their playful interaction. She added another caption: “3 days until the party begins. All are invited. @netflix,” referring to the impending release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, scheduled to debut on March 4.

The longstanding friendship between Meghan and Serena dates back to when they first met at the Super Bowl in 2010, with their relationship blossoming into a deep connection by 2014. Their bond was further solidified over the years, with Serena even attending Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding in 2018 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Amid the excitement of her show’s release, Meghan also acknowledged the challenges she has faced recently. “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan said in a statement in January. The forthcoming series is expected to make waves, coinciding with the launch of her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, and marking another milestone in her evolving career.
