Scarlett Moffatt Says Appearing on Homes Under The Hammer Is ‘Better Than Winning the Jungle’

Martin Roberts revealed that Scarlett Moffatt would join him on Homes Under The Hammer’s latest celebrity edition, airing today. The pair first met in 2016 when they appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and their friendship has remained strong ever since.

Scarlett, known for her time on Goggle box and I’m A Celeb, could barely contain her excitement about being on the home auction show, reported by the Express. Behind the scenes, she was grinning from ear to ear as she recorded alongside Martin. On Instagram, Martin shared his enthusiasm: “I am so excited because we are doing another Homes Under The Hammer celebrity special, and I am my guest on the show today. I couldn’t be more excited. I haven’t seen her for eight years. She is Miss Scarlett Moffatt, the Queen of the Jungle.”

Scarlett responded with equal enthusiasm, saying, “I’m actually buzzing; I feel like this is better than winning the jungle. I love the show and thought I would have to buy a house to get on the show. So when I got this call, I was like, ‘Yes!’”

Martin added, “We’re having some fun, so make sure you watch it. It is going to be a great episode.”

Scarlett Moffatt rose to fame as a regular on Gogglebox, where she appeared with her parents, Mark and Betty, before she left in 2016 to compete in I’m A Celeb, ultimately winning the show. Martin Roberts also participated in I’m A Celeb in the same year, famously having a tense argument with EastEnders star Larry Lamb. Reflecting on his jungle experience, Martin said: “The emotions you go through in the jungle are intense, and that explains some of the things that happen, but it does dig deep into your internal psyche.”

Martin opened up about his past struggles with bullying, explaining how it affected his self-esteem: “It was five years of bullying, really badly, and it’s going to do bad things to your self-esteem.” Despite the tension with Larry, Martin and Larry eventually made up and shared an emotional hug on camera after leaving the jungle.

Scarlett has also spoken about the difficulties she faced after her sudden rise to fame. Reflecting on her time in the spotlight, she admitted, “Looking back in hindsight, I wish I’d stayed up north… I think that really affected me. If I wasn’t at work, filming, or doing something, I was just in my flat alone, and it felt very overwhelming,” as reported by the Mirror.
