Sarah Ferguson turns back on Prince Andrew?
0Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has seemingly distanced herself from her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, in her latest statement celebrating a family moment without him. Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, marked her daughter Princess Beatrice’s second pregnancy with a heartfelt message, notably excluding any mention of the Duke of York.
The Duchess’ silence comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the Amazon Prime series A Very Royal Scandal, which dramatizes Andrew’s infamous 2019 Newsnight interview that effectively ended his royal career. Despite still living with Andrew at Royal Lodge in Windsor, Ferguson’s recent actions suggest a deliberate distancing from her former husband, particularly in public statements.
After Buckingham Palace confirmed that Princess Beatrice, 36, is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the royal family shared their excitement. “The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news,” the Palace’s statement read.
Shortly after, Ferguson took to social media to express her own joy. “Darling Beatrice. Words can’t quite express the joy and excitement I feel as you and Edo prepare to welcome another precious addition to your beautiful family. Becoming a granny again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude,” she wrote. Her message radiated love and pride, focusing solely on her daughter and growing family.
“Watching you grow as a mother has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and now to see your family blossom further is an absolute blessing,” she continued, emphasizing her joy at Beatrice’s journey as a mother. However, Andrew was noticeably absent from her words, as Ferguson concluded: “Our family is growing, and so too is the love that surrounds us. I cannot wait to meet this little one and to share in all the wonderful memories we will make together. All my love.”
Although Ferguson remains at Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew, insiders report that King Charles has softened his stance on their residency amid Ferguson’s recent health battle. “The King is not forcing the couple to leave the royal residence due to the Duchess of York, as she still pays whole respect to the monarch,” a source claimed, adding that Charles had allowed her to stay at the Lodge during her cancer battle.
While Ferguson continues to reside with Andrew, her public statements suggest a focus on her daughters and a growing family, leaving her ex-husband in the shadows amid ongoing controversies.
