Ruth kept her followers updated on her mum’s recovery journey, and she shared the good news that Joan has now been discharged from the hospital. Posting a video on Instagram, Ruth wrote: “SHE’S HOME! Mum is finally out of the hospital! Thank you to all the nursing staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and Woking Community Hospital for taking such good care of her. As you can see, Maggie is VERY happy to have her home!”

Joan’s fall marked the second time in two years that she has had a serious injury over the festive season, having previously broken her hip in 2023. Despite the challenges, Ruth’s positive outlook on life and her plans for the future show she is ready to move forward.
