Ruth Langsford Keeps Busy Following Shock Split from Eamonn Holmes
0Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has been immersing herself in work following her surprising split from husband Eamonn Holmes. The TV couple announced their separation in May, ending their 14-year marriage and 27 years together. Since the split, Ruth has focused on her professional commitments, temporarily stepping away from her Loose Women duties.
Ruth made her return to television just days after the announcement by appearing on the shopping channel QVC, notably still wearing her wedding ring. She has since continued her work on the channel, where she serves as a brand ambassador. Ruth shared a cheerful selfie on Instagram, taken in a lift, as she headed back to work. Clutching her handbag and Stanley cup, she captioned the photo, “Back at the Q! Meetings.”
Dressed stylishly in a blue shirt and skinny jeans, Ruth also posted a photo with her QVC co-star Jackie Kabler. She was on set to showcase items from her clothing range, proudly declaring, “All my own work. Double Denim Day!”
Last month, Ruth enjoyed a night out with her friend Anton Du Beke, visiting her former Strictly Come Dancing partner as he performed alongside Giovanni Pernice in their show “Anton and Giovanni Together.” Sharing her excitement on Instagram Stories, Ruth praised the performance, saying, “Great night watching @mrantondubeke and @giovannipernice. Go and see it if you can. Fantastic dancers. Fantastic singers. Fantastic band.”
After the show, Ruth reunited with Anton backstage, sharing a heartfelt snap on Instagram. “Thanks for inviting me, Partner. @mrantondubeke. If one of the dancers needs a day off, you know where I am,” she wrote, reminiscing about their time together during the 15th series of Strictly in 2017.
Ruth is currently on an extended break from Loose Women following the split. Reports suggest she has been feeling “hurt” after discovering that Eamonn has been spending time with another woman, with whom he has had several outings. A friend told the Mirror, “Ruth was hurt when she learned about Eamonn’s friendship with another woman, but she is strong and will be back soon with a smile on her face, putting her best foot forward, as she always does. She needs a bit of time to regroup after everything that’s gone on, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women, with renewed vigor, in July.”
A spokesperson for Ruth Langsford confirmed, “Ruth had holiday time booked from Loose Women and has extended her leave. She’s looking forward to returning to the show in due course.”
Meanwhile, Eamonn has returned to his presenting duties on GB News just days after the split. He expressed his gratitude to fans for their supportive messages upon his return to the channel.
