Ruth Langsford Stuns Fans as She Celebrates Major Milestone After Eamonn Holmes Split

Ruth Langsford is marking a big milestone—her first birthday since splitting from Eamonn Holmes. After 14 years of marriage, the couple shocked fans last May when they announced their separation. Since then, Ruth has been navigating the highs and lows of life on her own, openly sharing how she’s adjusting to her new reality.

Speaking to Women and Home magazine, she reflected on the choices she’s faced since the breakup. “You can let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice,” she said. While she admitted she’s not exactly thrilled about the end of her marriage, she’s learning to embrace her independence. “I’m not delighted my marriage is over, but I’ve accepted it. I’m trying to now embrace the fact I’m single and can make choices that are just about me”, reports the Mirror.

Turning 65, Ruth took a moment to celebrate with her fans, sharing a stunning sunset beach snap on Instagram. “So this is 65… thank you for all your lovely birthday messages,” she wrote, adding a red heart emoji. The post was quickly flooded with support from her celeb pals. Penny Lancaster encouraged her to “Enjoy,” while Corrie star Sally Dynevor sent a sweet “Happy Birthday Ruth. Looks wonderful enjoy.” TV presenter Richard Arnold also chimed in with a simple but heartfelt “Love” alongside a red heart emoji.

This all comes after Ruth recently opened up about her fears of ending up alone, especially after Eamonn moved on quickly with his new love interest, Katie Alexander. Eight months post-split, she revealed that the stress of their breakup and ongoing divorce has contributed to her noticeable weight loss.

“A break-up of a relationship is hard enough for anybody to deal with. A divorce is very difficult and it’s very painful, but most people don’t have to do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion about you and writing things about you and commenting things about you,” she told Women and Home.

“But that’s the nature of my job. I’ve always had that, and if you can’t cope with that, you shouldn’t be doing this job. I’m quite fine being on my own, but not forever. When you’re in a relationship, it’s easy to say, ‘Great, I’ve got a weekend to myself,’ but when you think that might be every weekend, it’s a different story.”

Addressing her weight loss, she admitted: “I have lost weight. Divorce obviously has something to do with it, but I also went for a hormone check and rebalance, which helped. It could also hopefully mean that I’m coming to the end of menopause.”

Since the split, Ruth has been radiating positivity, and fans can’t help but notice her transformation. Reports suggest she’s lost a stone and a half, and her Instagram followers have been quick to shower her with compliments. Despite the challenges, she’s proving that she’s moving forward—stronger, happier, and ready to embrace whatever comes next.
