ITV Deal or No Deal Teases ‘Biggest Win Yet’ – But Star’s Reaction Says It All

ITV’s beloved game show Deal or No Deal has made a triumphant return to screens in 2023 after its hiatus since 2016, delighting viewers with thrilling moments and substantial cash prizes awarded to ordinary contestants facing off against the enigmatic banker. As the show continues to captivate its audience, anticipation is mounting for what promises to be a record-breaking prize awarded to a lucky contestant next week.

During Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, host Stephen Mulhern shared exciting news with fellow presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about the upcoming episode of Deal or No Deal. Speaking enthusiastically, Mulhern said, “It’s going so strong. There is a massive win (coming up). It’s the start of next week. Let me tell you, it’s Monday. Don’t miss next Monday’s show”, reported by the Express.

Mulhern teased the audience with the prospect of an unprecedented jackpot, stating, “It’s the biggest win yet. When I say it’s big, it is because the jackpot has come to the table so many times, but nobody has had the guts to really go on.” His remarks have generated significant buzz among fans eager to witness history in the making.

Ben Shephard probed whether the banker was pleased with the anticipated high prize, to which Mulhern responded, “The banker is fuming! On that day, he was raging. I think at one point, I hold the phone away and you can hear him literally going to town!” This playful exchange underscored the intense and competitive atmosphere that Deal or No Deal is renowned for.

Highlighting the emotional impact of the game, Mulhern reminisced about a memorable contestant named Paula from Liverpool. “We had a player called Paula and she was from Liverpool. Every time I tell this story, I get goosebumps by it. I always read about the contestants, sadly, her son passed away very early. Some thugs had burnt the gravestone and some other gravestones. She was offered £6,000, but she had an amazing board with loads of money on.”

Paula’s heartfelt decision to continue playing, driven by her desire to honor her late son, resonated deeply with viewers. Mulhern shared, “She turned to her partner and asked what he thought and he said, ‘Well you’ve got to play on’. The board was amazing. You know what, she dealt because that’s all she wanted to do was just sort out her kid’s gravestone. It shows you, that’s what the money means, it’s not always about the big jackpot, it’s what they come for.”

The interview also touched on the mystery surrounding the banker’s identity. When asked if he knew who the banker was, Mulhern confessed, “I remain as in the dark as viewers, although confirmed it’s a man’s voice on the phone.” However, he revealed a playful theory about the banker’s presence, stating, “Apparently, he lurks around in the hotel to listen to what the contestants are talking about! He’s spying on them.”

Ben Shephard humorously responded to Mulhern’s revelation, saying, “We’re rather enjoying this moment, Richard,” to which Mulhern admitted, “I’m going to let this moment pass…” The camaraderie and light-hearted banter between the hosts added an extra layer of entertainment to the discussion.

As Deal or No Deal continues to thrive, the promise of a record-breaking prize next week has fans eagerly marking their calendars. Stephen Mulhern assured viewers, “I promise you, don’t miss it!” emphasizing the significance of the upcoming episode.

With its blend of suspense, strategy, and emotional storytelling, Deal or No Deal remains a staple of ITV’s programming, offering both excitement and heartfelt moments that keep audiences coming back for more.
