Puma’s First Global Basketball Campaign Aims to Ignite the Future of Hoops

Puma is stepping onto the basketball court like never before, launching its first-ever global campaign dedicated to the sport. Titled ‘Forever. Faster. – See The Game Like We Do’, the campaign is designed to give fans a fresh perspective on basketball, inviting them to see the game through Puma’s eyes, via Fashion Network. The brand, known for its pioneering sportswear, is using this campaign to not only celebrate basketball but to redefine how the sport is viewed and played—focusing on the joy and passion that drive the game.

At the heart of this campaign are some of the biggest names in basketball today, including Puma Hoops athletes Breanna Stewart, Flau’jae Johnson, Scoot Henderson, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton, who was recently signed by the brand. Each athlete brings their own unique style, perspective, and love for the game, collectively embodying Puma’s ‘Forever. Faster’ mantra. The campaign encourages fans to see basketball differently, just as these athletes do—playing not only to win but for the pure joy of the sport.

Max Staiger, Puma’s global head of basketball, highlighted how this campaign connects with both players and fans in an authentic way. “Since the start, we’ve always tried to tell the story of basketball through the lens of the player, seeing the game the way they do, both on the court and off the court,” Staiger explained. “This approach has allowed us to connect those unique viewpoints with disruptive product and storytelling—impactful to anyone around the game.”

He added, “This campaign, for the first time, brings together our complete narrative showcasing how Stewie, Melo, Flau’jae, Scoot, and Tyrese embody the Puma Hoops’ disruptive and inclusive spirit.”

Puma has a long history in basketball, dating back to 1973 when it became a force in the sport with iconic performance shoes like the Clyde model, named after basketball legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Although the brand took a step back from basketball for several years, it made a bold return to the sport in 2018, combining athletic performance with cultural relevance. Since then, Puma has been pushing the boundaries with innovative technologies and collaborations with a new generation of basketball stars.

Richard Teyssier, Puma’s vice president of brand and marketing, emphasized the brand’s commitment to basketball with this new campaign. “This campaign is a message to the world that Puma is doubling down on hoops,” he said. “The campaign showcases the tenacious spirit we have for the game and the investment we are willing to make to show up as a powerhouse and continue carving our legacy.”

Teyssier’s words underscore Puma’s ambition to leave a lasting mark on basketball. “This dedicated campaign will continue to thread our message across the business and amplify our holistic vision for the brand.”

The ‘Forever. Faster. – See The Game Like We Do’ campaign is set to make waves across multiple platforms. Puma has lined up an extensive out-of-home media blitz in key basketball cities like New York, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Miami, ensuring that basketball fans everywhere will take notice. The campaign will also be supported by a robust presence on social media and television, as well as through a partnership with the NBA, which will amplify the message to basketball enthusiasts worldwide.

With this campaign, Puma is not just showcasing its products; it’s celebrating a shared love of basketball, a sport that thrives on innovation, passion, and a constant drive to be ‘Forever. Faster.’ Fans and players alike are invited to see the game through Puma’s eyes—a vision of basketball where the joy of the sport is front and center, and where the future of the game is defined by those who play it with heart.
