Prince William feels new royal book is ‘spiteful portrayal’ of the monarchy

According to a source, Prince William is displeased with Omid Scobie’s latest book, “Endgame,” which delves into the dynamics of the royal family. The source, speaking to Us Weekly, described William’s view of the book as a “spiteful portrayal of the monarchy,” filled with “cruel narratives” about his family.

Prince William reportedly has no plans to directly respond to the contents of “Endgame,” as he does not wish to give further attention to what he believes are false and harmful narratives.

The book explores the royal family’s situation following Prince Harry’s departure and touches on events like Queen Elizabeth’s death and King Charles’ ascension to the throne. The source highlighted that Prince William, aged 41, is frustrated and weary of the ongoing drama surrounding the royals, especially since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties in 2020.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond commented on the strained relationship between the brothers in an interview with Bella Magazine. She noted that Kate Middleton, William’s wife, feels deeply affected and insulted by Harry’s public criticisms of William, particularly those revealed in his memoir “Spare.” Bond suggested that the rift has grown too significant for easy reconciliation, with Kate feeling hurt by Harry’s revelations.

Despite Prince William’s desire for improved relations with his brother, communication between them is currently non-existent, with Kate reportedly not speaking to either Harry or Meghan. Sources told GB News that Kate isn’t ready to mend ties yet, given the magnitude of recent events.

Further, sources inside Buckingham Palace, including Prince William, reportedly view Harry as an “irritating noise.” In a statement to People, Scobie said that palace insiders largely dismiss Harry’s expressions and feelings as insignificant, likening their attitude to that of a large corporation rather than a family.

Scobie also mentioned that for Prince William, Harry seems to be in the “rearview mirror,” suggesting a significant distancing between the brothers. This situation paints a picture of ongoing tension and strained relationships within the royal family, with little indication of immediate resolution.
