Prince William Just Sat Down for an Interview of His Own

Prince Harry may be opening up in a tell-all memoir, but his brother, Prince William, just participated in an emotional interview of his own.

The Duke of Cambridge recently surprised British boxer and Olympian, Lauren Price, for an interview for BBC Sports. The chat took place at William and Kate Middleton’s Kensington Palace just days ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Lucky for us, William shared the video on the YouTube account he shares with his wife.

During the interview, the duo chatted about Price’s early boxing career, being a part-time taxi driver and her dreams of becoming an Olympian.

“It’s been a dream of mine since I was eight to go to the Olympic Games. I remember being sat in the living room with my Nan and Grandad watching the Olympics and seeing Kelly Holmes win gold, and at the time I didn’t know what sport I wanted to do, I just wanted to go to the Olympic Games,” she told Will per Hello! Magazine.

In addition to their sit-down, the duke also took the opportunity to gift the athlete with a personalized cake in honor of her birthday.

“Happy Birthday for today and hope you have a good day,” he continued. “We’ll all be wishing you well, Lauren, and cheering you on. You’ll do us very proud in the Olympics, I’m sure, and you’ll do everyone proud in your hometown, and your grandparents as well, so best of luck!”

We have a feeling Will will be watching all weekend.
