Prince Harry Set to Spend a Quiet 40th Birthday Amid Reflections on Life Post-Royal Exit

Prince Harry is expected to have a subdued 40th birthday celebration, marking the milestone far from his former royal life and family. The Duke of Sussex, who has frequently expressed dissatisfaction with his time in the Royal Family, will spend the occasion in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, miles away from the life he once knew.

Former royal butler Paul Burrell speculated that Harry may not be fully content with his current circumstances. Speaking to Closer Magazine, Burrell shared his belief that the Duke is likely feeling conflicted as he approaches this significant birthday. “Harry will be in exile for his 40th birthday. It’ll probably be a low-key celebration inside the gates of their home with celebrity friends. I don’t think he’s happy,” Burrell said.

Burrell reflected on the life Harry left behind, noting the difficult choices he’s made since stepping down from royal duties. “The saddest thing is that he could have had it all. But while the children are small, there’s no way things will change for Harry because he adores his wife and his family, and that is the path he’s on.”

As Harry prepares to turn 40, Burrell suggests that the Duke may be grappling with homesickness and reflecting on the life he once had. “I am sure he’s homesick, and I’m sure his upcoming 40th birthday is making him reflect on the past and his previous life. If Harry doesn’t have regrets, he doesn’t have a soul.”

While Harry remains dedicated to his family and the new life he’s built in California, his milestone birthday may bring a period of reflection, as he considers the road he’s chosen since stepping away from royal life.
