Prince Harry is expected to have a subdued 40th birthday celebration, marking the milestone far from his former royal life and family. The Duke of Sussex, who has frequently expressed dissatisfaction with his time in the Royal Family, will spend the occasion in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, miles away from the life he once knew.

Former royal butler Paul Burrell speculated that Harry may not be fully content with his current circumstances. Speaking to Closer Magazine, Burrell shared his belief that the Duke is likely feeling conflicted as he approaches this significant birthday. “Harry will be in exile for his 40th birthday. It’ll probably be a low-key celebration inside the gates of their home with celebrity friends. I don’t think he’s happy,” Burrell said.

But while the children are small, there’s no way things will change for Harry because he adores his wife and his family, and that is the path he’s on.”

If Harry doesn’t have regrets, he doesn’t have a soul.”
