TV host slams Prince Harry for ‘hurting his grandmother’

Prince Harry recently came under fire for allegedly ‘invading his own privacy’ through ‘insensitive’ new ventures that hurt Queen Elizabeth’s feelings.

Today host Allison Langdon has blasted Prince Harry for continuing to criticize the Royal Family despite knowing he’s upsetting his grandmother the Queen.

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made a series of explosive claims about the royals in recent months, culminating in his latest round of allegations in the new Apple TV+ documentary series The Me You Can’t See.

The 42-year-old breakfast presenter, who hosts Nine Network’s morning show Today in Australia, was chatting to ITV’s Royal editor Chris Ship about the Sussexes.

During this morning’s segment, Allison questioned why Harry would continue ‘hurting his grandmother’ by agreeing to take part in interviews where he talks about the Royal family.

“Every time he comes out and he does something with Oprah I just keep thinking – I think most people do – how on earth is the Queen responding to this?” Allison asked. “If Harry knows that he’s hurting his grandmother, why does he keep giving these interviews?” Ally asked the editor.

“He left the UK because he wanted to get away from the press and the scrutiny and yet he can’t help being the headline,” Allison said. She added that the Sussexes’ public statements attacking the Royal Family also seemingly contradict their appeals for privacy.

Chris Ship then suggested that some people now believe that Harry is ‘invading his own privacy’. In yet another full-frontal attack on the royals, he said: “Certainly now I will never be bullied into silence. I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence, total neglect.”

“We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling,” he further said.

He added: ‘That feeling of being trapped within the family, there was no option to leave. Eventually when I made that decision for my family, I was still told, “You can’t do this,” and it’s like, “Well, how bad does it have to get until I am allowed to do this?” She [Meghan] was going to end her life. It shouldn’t have to get to that.’
