Prince Andrew Narrowly Avoids Further Scandal Amid New ‘Disturbing’ Claims

Prince Andrew, previously embroiled in a sex scandal, narrowly avoided additional legal challenges as his accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, failed to meet the filing deadline for her claim. This development comes after the Duke of York was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages due to his connections with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke faced accusations from Virginia Giuffre, who alleged Andrew sexually assaulted her when she was 17. These claims were part of a broader case against Epstein, who died by suicide in prison in 2019, and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, now serving a prison sentence.

Giuffre received a $16 million USD out-of-court settlement from Andrew, leading many to speculate that Sjoberg might also secure a significant settlement. However, Sjoberg’s failure to file her motion within the stipulated time in the United States has prevented this.

Sources close to Prince Andrew expressed his relief to MailOnline, noting his eagerness to rebuild his public image. However, challenges for Andrew may not be entirely over. According to The Daily Mail, new ‘disturbing’ evidence, including Sjoberg’s testimony, is expected to be presented in court on January 2. This development is part of the unsealing of 170 legal documents by a judge’s order, potentially adding more layers to the ongoing controversy surrounding the Duke.
