Sky News Drops ‘Breaking News’ on Pope as Vatican Issues Cryptic Four-Word Statement Amid ‘Crisis’!

Sky News interrupted its Monday morning broadcast to issue an urgent update on Pope Francis’s health, as concerns over the 88-year-old pontiff’s condition continue. Host Leah Boleto delivered the news live, stating: “The Vatican says the Pope ‘slept well all night’ after an isolated breathing crisis which happened on Friday. The 88-year-old has been in the hospital for two weeks and remains in a stable but complex condition.”

Doctors have reassured the public that Pope Francis is not suffering from a fever and that his condition remains stable, though they cautioned that he is “not out of danger.” According to medical reports, the Pope is now off mechanical ventilation and has shown no signs of new infection. He had previously been using a non-invasive ventilation mask to assist his breathing following a coughing episode on Friday. However, doctors confirmed that he spent all of Sunday without it, a positive sign of recovery, reported Daily Express.

48-Hour Critical Period Friday’s sudden health scare sparked fears that Pope Francis had developed a new lung infection. Doctors initially warned that it could take up to 48 hours to determine whether an infection had taken hold. However, by Sunday, they confirmed that there was no fever or infection, suggesting that he had overcome the immediate crisis. A full medical update on the Pope’s condition is expected later today.

Ongoing Health Struggles The Pope was admitted to the hospital on February 14 after experiencing breathing difficulties for several days. Initially treated for bronchitis, he was later diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. Francis has faced several bouts of poor health in recent years. He is particularly prone to lung infections due to a history of pleurisy in his youth, which led to the partial removal of one lung.

On Sunday, for the third consecutive week, Pope Francis skipped his traditional noon blessing. Instead, the Vatican shared a personal message from him, in which he expressed solidarity with the sick and gratitude for prayers from around the world.

“I feel in my heart the ‘blessing’ that is hidden within frailty, because it is precisely in these moments that we learn even more to trust in the Lord,” the Pope said.

He continued: “I thank God for giving me the opportunity to share in body and spirit the condition of so many sick and suffering people. I feel all your affection and closeness and, at this particular time, I feel as if I am ‘carried’ and supported by all God’s people.” While the Pope remains in stable condition, the Vatican has yet to confirm when he will resume his public duties.
