Phillip Schofield ‘Always Took the Credit for Holly’s Success’ Says Insider as Feud Deepens

New revelations have surfaced regarding the ongoing tension between former This Morning co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Once celebrated as daytime television’s most beloved duo, their friendship has reportedly deteriorated beyond repair, and according to insiders, it doesn’t seem like the bad blood will be resolved any time soon.

Phillip, who now fronts his Channel 5 series Cast Away, has not held back in his comments, and his strained relationship with Holly appears to be far from reconciled. An insider has shared more details, suggesting that Phillip, described as “bitter,” often took credit for Holly’s achievements during their time on This Morning.

Despite working together for over a decade, the pair’s friendship is now said to be in tatters. Their fallout is believed to have begun last year when Phillip left ITV amid a series of scandals, including a controversial affair. Phillip later admitted to lying about the relationship, calling it “unwise” but “not illegal.” Following his departure, Holly also decided to leave the show.

Since then, reports have continued to circulate that the once-close colleagues are no longer on friendly terms. In recent days, a source even claimed that Phillip referred to Holly by a “shocking nickname,” adding to the speculation of their strained dynamic.

According to a new insider report, Phillip has long believed that he was responsible for Holly’s rise in the TV industry. Holly first joined This Morning in 2009 after Phillip recommended her as a replacement for his former co-star, Fern Britton. But it appears Phillip never let Holly forget it.

The source explained, “Phil always took the credit for Holly’s success. And boy did he like to tell people that, including Holly. She, of course, knew he orchestrated the opportunity and was always very grateful, but it was thrown in her face quite a lot. How long did Holly have to keep thanking him for?”

The insider further claimed that Phillip is now “rewriting history” as he becomes increasingly bitter over the end of his career at ITV. “But now Phil is coming across as increasingly bitter about the end of his career at ITV and he is totally rewriting history,” the source added.

The escalating revelations only deepen the mystery behind the alleged fallout between the once-iconic TV duo. ED! UK has reached out to representatives for comment, but as of now, no official response has been provided. The full extent of their fallout remains to be seen, but it seems clear that this once-strong partnership may never mend.
