Omid Scobie Draws Parallels Between Princess Kate and Royal Health Speculation
0Omid Scobie, known for his close ties with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has sparked a new debate on social media by drawing a parallel between himself and Princess Kate. The controversy emerged amid growing public curiosity regarding Princess Kate’s health following her absence since December 2023 due to abdominal surgery in January.
Despite the lack of detailed information about the procedure, it was disclosed that Kate had been discharged from The London Clinic after a 13-day stay, with Kensington Palace recently indicating she is “doing well.” The discourse intensified when Prince William withdrew from a scheduled memorial service at St George’s Chapel for King Constantine, further fueling speculation about the royal family’s private affairs.
Scobie, a prominent royal biographer, seized this moment to comment on the scrutiny faced by the Princess of Wales, paralleling it with inquiries about his whereabouts since the release of his latest book, “Endgame,” last November. This book, which made headlines for its critical portrayal of Kate and an erroneous claim involving her and King Charles in a racism controversy concerning Prince Archie’s skin tone, follows Scobie’s contentious “Finding Freedom,” a biography of Meghan and Harry.
Scobie wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “While I firmly believe the Princess of Wales should be allowed to recover without disturbance or prying, it’s bizarre to me that the same conscience-free papers who hack, harass, who made me feel unsafe by flying drones to stalk me, have suddenly learned the meaning of privacy.”
In 2021, Meghan admitted in court to inadvertently allowing a senior aide to provide information to Scobie, which she had previously forgotten. This revelation came amidst the Duchess of Sussex’s legal battles and her efforts to clarify her involvement with “Finding Freedom.”
As discussions about royal privacy and media scrutiny continue, Princess Kate, aged 42, has been recuperating at Adelaide Cottage after what was described as a “successful” operation. With Kensington Palace announcing her likely return to royal engagements post-Easter, Prince William, at 41, is presently focused on caring for Kate and their three children in Windsor Great Park, highlighting the ongoing balance between public duty and personal health within the royal family.
