Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan Opens Up About New Romance After Shocking Realization About Ex
0Coleen Nolan, star of Loose Women, has opened up about her thoughts on romance following her recent split from Michael Jones. While she is currently content being single, the 59-year-old is “not against” finding love again if it “happened organically.”
Coleen and Michael, who met on Tinder, ended their relationship after three years together last year but have remained friends. In previous interviews, Coleen cited her busy schedule and the challenges of living together as key reasons for the breakup.
In a more recent interview, Coleen revealed that living with Michael full-time triggered panic about their relationship. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “If I’m honest, it was weird not living by myself. I think I found it more weird living full-time with someone. Maybe that’s what made me think, ‘Oh, I don’t know’.”
She continued, “I would definitely like to meet someone, but not kind of full-time, if you know what I mean. And then it became full-time, so I don’t know whether there was a panicky thing of not wanting to live with someone full-time.”
Speaking to Lancs. live, Coleen explained that she enjoys the freedom of her own space and relishes the time she can be “selfish” with. Alongside her work commitments, she is kept busy caring for 30 animals on her farm in Dilhorne, Staffordshire.
Despite the end of her relationship with Michael, Coleen remains on good terms with her exes, including actor Shane Ritchie and Ray Fensome. She was married to Shane from 1990 to 1999, sharing two sons, Shane Nolan (36) and Jake Roche (32), while her marriage to Ray brought her daughter Ciara, 24.
While she was with Michael, Coleen made a surprising statement about marriage, revealing she would only consider marrying again if a prenup were involved. In an appearance on Kaye Adams’ How To Be 60 podcast, she said, “If it meant a lot to him, maybe I would, but I’d b****y make him sign a great big piece of paper before I did because I’m not going through that again.”
She added, “I’ve looked into it. 100 per cent. It’s sorted from there and it’s a reference point; no-one thinks they’re going to split up.”
Coleen’s openness about her relationship preferences and personal boundaries offers a refreshing perspective on love and independence after her past experiences.
