Reverend Nathan Javed Honored at Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Reverend Nathan Javed, a Bradford reverend who has dedicated years to guiding Christians in their faith, was welcomed through the gates of Buckingham Palace last week, via Asian Express.

Rev. Javed, who founded a church for South Asian Christians, was specially invited to King Charles III’s garden party on May 8. His charitable and church missions have taken him not only across Bradford but also to India and Pakistan.

King Charles III, who is currently receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, and Queen Camilla attended the event briefly.

“For me, the train from Low Moor to Buckingham Palace, it just made me think very humbly of myself, of what I have done, seen. God has been good to me. It’s more of an experience of joy that whatever I have chosen to do is by God’s blessing,” Rev. Javed told the T&A. “I’ve been involved in the community, that’s been recognized by somebody and somebody’s just given us a great gift of life.”

Rev. Javed was pleasantly surprised to find that both he and his wife, Urpha, had been invited to the Palace’s gardens.

“It was joyous,” he said.

This special invitation highlights the significant contributions Rev. Javed has made through his ministry, impacting not only his local community but also extending his reach internationally. His work has provided spiritual guidance and support to many, demonstrating the power of faith and community service.

The garden party at Buckingham Palace serves as a recognition of Rev. Javed’s dedication and the positive influence he has had on those he has served. This honor reflects the appreciation and respect for his tireless efforts in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for South Asian Christians.
