Mister Spex Co-CEO Mirko Caspar Announces Departure from Management Board

Mirko Caspar, co-CEO of Mister Spex SE, has revealed his decision to step down from the company’s management board effective December 31, 2023.

In the wake of Caspar’s departure, Founder and Co-CEO Dirk Graber, along with CFO Stephan Schulz-Gohritz, will assume additional responsibilities to ensure a seamless transition in leadership.

Reflecting on his time with the company, Caspar remarked, “With more than 6 million customers and a very strong position in our core markets, Mister Spex is well-equipped for the future. For me, it is time to take the next step.”

The company issued a statement highlighting Caspar’s significant contributions during his twelve-year tenure, citing his pivotal role in propelling Mister Spex’s omnichannel model from 10 million euros in revenues to surpassing 200 million euros in 2022.

“Mister Spex successfully grew its brand awareness to over 70 percent in its core markets with Mirko at the helm. Together, we built a robust leadership team, and I am proud to say that we are now the leading digitally driven omnichannel optician in Germany,” added Dirk Graber, Co-CEO and founder of Mister Spex.
