Mister Spex Appoints Francesco Liut as New CCO Amid Leadership Changes

At Mister Spex, the personnel wheel continues to turn. Following the departure of CEO and company founder Dirk Graber and a surprising change in the supervisory board, the Berlin-based eyewear retailer is now getting a new chief commercial officer (CCO).

Francesco Liut will take on the role of CCO starting August 1, Mister Spex announced on Friday. Liut, who joined the company in early June, will oversee both the online and retail business in his new position. His responsibilities will include marketing, category management, product, and data.

Liut’s move to Berlin comes from Luxottica, where he most recently served as group marketing director. At Luxottica, he headed the marketing functions for renowned brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Vogue Eyewear. Previously, he worked as e-commerce director and supply chain director for Sunglass Hut within the Essilor-Luxottica Group. In these roles, Liut was responsible for the profit and loss of the e-commerce business, driving growth and restructuring of the global platform, and optimizing the global supply chain.

His appointment as CCO comes during a period of significant change for Mister Spex. The company has been under the interim leadership of CFO Stephan Schulz-Gohritz since July 31, following Dirk Graber’s departure. However, Graber will continue to support Mister Spex in an advisory capacity. The supervisory board is expected to consult on the future structuring of the management board and provide updates in due course.

Liut’s extensive experience in the eyewear industry, particularly his roles at Luxottica and Sunglass Hut, positions him well to lead Mister Spex’s commercial operations. His track record of driving growth and optimizing business processes will be invaluable as Mister Spex navigates this transitional period.

Mister Spex, known for its innovative approach to eyewear retail, combining online and offline shopping experiences, stands to benefit from Liut’s expertise in e-commerce and supply chain management. His leadership is anticipated to bring fresh energy and strategic direction to the company.

The announcement of Liut’s appointment marks a new chapter for Mister Spex as it continues to adapt and evolve in the competitive eyewear market. The company’s ability to attract top talent from industry giants like Luxottica underscores its commitment to maintaining a leading position in the market.

As Mister Spex moves forward with its new leadership, the company’s stakeholders and customers alike will be watching closely to see how these changes impact its performance and growth. With Liut at the helm of commercial operations, Mister Spex is poised to continue its innovative journey and strengthen its market presence.
